can someone move this to general discussion plz
Bump, cause i wanna now this tooi think of other things when i hear roleplay...
im not sure but i think it means adding a bit of story to the game, kinda like an AAR![]()
For a great example, look at Karnage's AAR in the M2TW AAR section, has some awesome role playing there including certain family members being purposely assassinated or accidently killed.
Role-Playing can also mean doing stuff that you didn't really have to do but you do it anyway simply because it makes the game seem more realistic.
when we dress up in full gear and play the game.
For me, it's just examining a general or prince's motivations, likes and dislikes, political factors, economic factors, what the king would think etc. instead of just what's best for the country. Kings could be prideful, family members could be cowards and so on. It's really just playing the campaign through the eyes of your family members rather than as an omniscient leader.

I agree - playing to your Generals' traits is always more satisfying. However - I also like thinking "hmm, I'm the King. I'm 55. My son is 36, heir to the throne, and is lazy. Very lazy. RIGHT. Time to give him a kick up the proverbial... Footman!!! Get me parchment and a quill so I can write to my son. He's going to invade France...."
heir: but daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad come on I was going with the guys to the brothel!
king: no way! you must learn the family bussiness
heir: but I dont want to be a dreaded conqueror! :,(
king: you will be a conqueror as your father!
