Default VONC - CdeC re: LuckyLewis

Regarding this application, the application wasn't processed due to insufficient votes. Among current CdeC councillors, the following did not vote. Can they, or someone who knows what's going on, please explain why they were absent?

    Rome
    Astaroth
    Justinian
    Leonidas the Lion

I am only able to answer for Leonidas the Lion at this point. He has announced in the absences thread that he would be away for 10 days starting from August 18. The Curator or one of the Hex members is able to find his absences post.

Rome has stated as well that he would be gone for a while (no specific amount stated).

    When did Rome say that?

It would just be for the best if Lewis was promoted- more than half of the CdeC voted and he passed.

To say that nothing is true, is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile, and that we must be the shepherds of our own civilization. To say that everything is permitted, is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with their consequences, whether glorious or tragic.

If Rome and Leonidas would be seen as absence members and would not be bound to vote at this time that leaves the CdeC with 9 people to vote 3 of them didn't vote one abstained and the rest voted yes that would pass him. If i look at it in the right way.

I'm sorry Pann but I find this heavy handed tactic a little troubling. Is there any need for this to be brought public especially as you have initiated your own private inquiries ? What worries me most is that it's come from a member of the site's administration with very little tact. What's (or who ) really ruffled your feathers ?

The real concern here is LuckyLewis. Use your almighty power and promote him.Everyone in the Curia knows that he has been awfully unlucky and would not stand in you way. precedence and all the clobber.

You cannot accuse me of bias as I have always been a supporter of yours as well as TWC mate to Romey and co.

I'm sorry Pann but I'm rather disappointed.

Why not wait and see how this unfolds? I'd expect to be held publicly accountable for every action of mine, and indeed I have been, to artery-busting levels in the past. If the explanations are satisfactory, the names will be crossed off one by one. Until then, members need to see that the decisionmakers can be made to answer for their actions.

And yes, this does mean that if anyone wants to question me about my actions and initiate a VONC on me if they wish, they are welcome to do so. I hold myself to the same standards I ask of others.

It's been so long since Rome has popped off to me in a thread I thought he was gone.
Astaroth, dunno. I haven't seen him prowling the TW forums, either.
Justinian has been in and out, more out.
Leonidas did announce his absence in the going away thread in the Den.
    MCM, dunno.

I just missed it, I started working this week and when I'm not working or getting ready for school (which starts on Monday) I didn't have the time to check every thread in the CdeC. It happens, what can I say?

This is the only Citizen vote processed in the entire month of August that I have missed.

For this case I think the candidate should be promoted. If the curator decides not to because of this reason we should look for a VonC or two and then immediately allow a reapplication.

Mmm, lets see. Rome has voted in six votes that are viewable in the antechamber since August 1st. How does this translate to disappearing and us having no idea when he will be back?

Rome seems to have voted in every thread in that forum. Why do you want to VonC him again? Apart from personal reasons obviously? He missed this vote. Have you missed any votes since being on the CdeC?

Read the OP. It lists 5 councillors who missed the vote, and asks them or people who know them to explain their absence. One of them has had his absence definitely satisfactorily explained, so his name has been struck from the list. The rest we're either waiting for an explanation for, or we're waiting for an assessment for. I'll give this a couple of days, then ask Meg for her judgement of the explanations given.

None, and I've also never resigned my seat or been infracted while in office, but this isn't about me.

Rome's voting record in July when he was here was 50% and he's been conspicuously absent in discussion of candidates. His voting record would indicate he isn't paying much attention to candidates but seems to be voting the same way for every applicant. His message in the absence thread indicates that what would normally be considered a joke might actually be how he actually is behaving.
