It's hardly a breakthrough to edit textures. And don't be dense, either - TATW have had retextured buildings prior to the release of CoW.
As good as Kav's textures are, there's a lot to go yet before it's even possible to have a fully working city with new buildings and layout design.

But one thing. Will the stone walls change its textures, when the city will be caputred by another side? Elven f.e. captured the orks stone city?
If they will, it'll be really unlogical, because rebuilding of stone walls, is the thing of years, maybe dozens of years, IMHO.
So elven stone walls are actual only to one city - their start settlement, and maybe cities with wooden walls, which will rebuild with elves, who capure them..

Exactly Vaz. Every model is the same as the vanilla one, Moskey will still be shaped as moskey, Cross will be cross.. The textures are just changed, and this have been done for ages in M2. Thanks for compliment RG, but there really is no reason to start bring TATW in this discussion, or bash people behind it. There's insane ammount of work and time putted behind it, and they deserve every bit of respect they are having, they are everything but "lazy". And I don't see reason why this wouldn't work with beta.
They work as in vanilla, they just have edited textures. Type depends which factio/culture walls are present in the settlement at the moment

There will be a more details, and variety, and polishing, it's still WIP Just don't want to show all yet . And I will release alongside with my Empire walls, but don't expect it anytime soon (this week no change I believe). About Orc buildings, I'm reworking the work I had already done (to better resolution), and I tought to do same to HE walls, that's the delay with them.

Just wondering, am I right in thinking COW has reached the maximum number of cultures? If so, does that mean there will have to be a culture with a kind of generic warhammery settlement style for all future armies? A very ramshakle old grimey look would work with most armies in warhammer.
These can be applied by factions, each can have own battlemap textures. I 100% agree on last point, and I'm going to f.ex. make Empire buildings more ramshacked, preview pics are really "clean" looking, but that won't be the case later.
