Right, as I haven't seen an XC AAR, I thought I'd give one a bash. This is fuelled by boredom.
I decided on a Provincial Campaign, notably the Britons.
This is not going to be taken too seriously, as I suck in game![]()

Part 1 - Introduction...
Cambaules, High Chief of the Cassi people, took stock of his small kingdom.
His only son and heir, Acichorius, was young and inexperienced, but definitely showed promice in leadership.
Morirex, once a minor Chief of the Dumnonii, married the High Chiefs daughter. He now holds power over all of the tribes in the west.
High Chief: One day son, all of this will be yours.
Acichorius: What the curtains?
High Chief: No, not the curtains. The land, all that you can see and beyond! All will bow to you...
Acichorius: But I don't want any of that, I'd rather...
High Chief: Shut up! Fool of a son. I'm sending you to the Conclave at Mona, there the Druids will instruct you in the ways of the man, the leader, the King!
Acichorius: But I'd rather...
High Chief: Shut up!
The High Chief decided to take his small war party north, into the lands of the Bridgantines in an effort to subdue all of the lowlands...
Thats all for now, gotta go work. I'll update this tonight (if I'm not dying from exhaustion).

Part 2 - Land Grab
The High Chief, Cambaules decided to subdue the Bridgantine tribes through force.
Cambaules was desperate for fame and fortune, and with his advanced age, he knew oppotunities to gain such things were few and fleeting.
So he wasted no time, only having enough time to build one battering ram, he assaulted in the spring of 279BC.
So it begins...
Being a brave briton, the High Chief decided to gamble all on a frontal assault of the main gate.
Both sides were reasonably matched...
Cambaules was always going to breach the gateway eventually.
Fierce, if short lived, fighting ensued.
With the death of their Chief, it was all over very quickly...
It was a great victory for Cambaules, losing only one tenth of his entire force in a frontal assault.
As a result, the Cassi people now dominated all of the lowlands of Bretannia.
Though Cambaules was not content. He would never be content. His only goal in life was to unite all of the warring tribes of Bretannia. Only then could they stand a chance in such a hostile world.
To be continued...
Well done![]()

Part 2 (continued)...
The Cassi People now had control of all the lowlands of Britannia. Never had a people united so much land upon Britannia before, but it was not enough...
With Celtic mercinaries bolstering his ranks, Cambaules, High Chieftan of Britannia set his sights upon the Caledoni stronghold of Atauna.
With two Battering rams, he was able to surprise the Caledoni on their flank, forcing them to divert forces away from the main gate.
With huge amounts of pressure being applied at the main gate, it was only amatter of time before they broke...
And sure enough, break they did, bringing disaster to the Caledoni. It forced their Chieftan into action...
Pressed at all sides, the High Chieftan decided that the moment to strike had arrived. And strike he did.
Utterly broken, the Cheif of the Caledoni surrendered to Cambaules. The High Cheiftan decided that they had fought well, and deserved to be spared from the sword.
Still, the thirst for glory had not left Cambaules. Old age was no excuse to him, and even though he now dominated the entire island, he would not be satisfied until he had control of the island to the west of Britannia...
To be continued...
