Continuous crashing in the early campaign

I've continued to have these crashes on the early campaign on the Byzantine Empire. The crashes always happen at Turn 51, year 1150 AD. Now the turn is 51, year 1150 and when I click the End Turn hourglass to continue the timeline to 1152. The game crashes! It always stops at the Khwarezmian Empire's turn and then after a few seconds, the game crashes saying ''Medieval 2: Total War encountered an unspecified error and will now exit.'' . The first time it happened I decided to restart my Byzantine campaign but it happened again at the same date/turn on my new campaign! I've restarted my computer and tried to get past the turn but nothing has changed. Help!
