    Default Has Conversion been changed?

I took a settlement that was 1% pagan, built a small temple and it shot up to 30%. also i find in some settlements the % pagan is slowly dropping despite there being no priests or heretics there.

Has the way conversion works in this mod been changed? Am i still able to incite rebellions in enemy cities by sending priests to convert their populations (like in vanilla)?

Building a church to your religion can slowly convert the population decrease paganism and heretics. The huge rise of conversion i got my ideas but i don't really know. You might be able to start reilious rebellions but the ai has a trait called ai boost or something that increases law thus making town happy so it may be harder to do so without the help of devestation, assassins and spies destroying happy buildings

yeah, i notice right now as Lithuania, having just taken a couple of Scandanavian areas that was about 99% Catholic, they went 20% pagan immediately the next turn, before I even brought a priest there.
1180, an unprecedented period of peace and prosperity in East Asia, it's technology and wealth is the envy of the world. But soon conflict will engulf the entire region with great consequences and lasting effects for centuries to come, not just for this region, but the entire known world, when one man, one people, unites.....

Maybe it's too keep them from rebelling? AI script that is.

it must be the family members effect. using one to capture a settlement with a different religion seems to boost its conversion up in one turn - could be his piety??

In this version, you gain huge conversion rates just for owning a region. Also from unexpected sources, like having a spy in the region. I'm told that it was done to help the AI, because they will take a region and not bother with converting it or making it happy, not leaving sufficient garrisons in unhappy cities and therefore having their new conquests rebel. Mainly, it was done to help the Mongols in this regard (as if they need any more help).

The net effect is that priests have been made obsolete. They simply don't have time to preach and become more pious before the region converts by itself. Therefore, they won't reach the higher levels needed to become cardinals, and you will not be able to say who will be the next Pope.

One of the aspects of this game I most enjoy is traits, characters, ancillaries, etc. I especially enjoy the religious side and sending missionaries out, having them become cardinals, etc. Obsolete priests is not for me, so I modded the new conversion rates out, and to hell with the Mongols.
