    Default Yet another devastation thread!

I'm not complaining how devastation is handled in SS 6.3 just two quick question:

1-why i have more devastation as i upgraded the farm ?

2-why i have less devastation with 7 years old governor than with a senior governor with more chivalry?

Devastation, like corruption, is a percentage of a settlement's income, not a fixed cost, so if a settlement's income increases (E.G., you upgrade your farm), so does devastation (and corruption)

It's not a percentage it's a fixed amount. Try to change taxes or remove the governor devastation will be the same.

I found why with the 7 years old governor i have less devastation (an makes sense): the child have a trait that reduce the farming output of the settlement so it affect the devastation that the settlement can produce.

To confirm that i gave the GoodFarmer trait to one of my governor. As expected that increased the devastation of the settlement.

Now... any tips to reduce devastation ?

I think that's more a vanilla issue, all mods I've played have it. There are multiple explanations possible, probably.

2-why i have less devastation with 7 years old governor than with a senior governor with more chivalry?
Are you sure the ammount decreases, and it doesn't look like less because the 'scale' of the Settlement Details has changed?

Wouldn't it make sense that you'd have less "devastation" with a lesser governor? The lesser governor would produce less (devastation being percentage based).

It's a percentage of the farm income, then
To reduce devastation, kill off any enemy armies on your territory. Also, I've heard putting a fort with a few units in it on top of the devastation makes it decrease faster.

wasn't the devestation unlimited effect fixed in the first devestation thread due to the age script or something? If it does fix it, that would be awesome, not too far enough in my campaign to care about restarting it.

EDIT: didn't mean to quote, soz so deleted it lol
