Prevent battle ending?

Is there a way to end a custom battle when I want to instead of when the game decides I have won and tells me it's finished? Thanks in advance.

You hit continue when it gives you the option but in a land battle once all the units have routed off the map thats iut, there is no point in continueing.

Thanks for your reply. I see your point but I'd still prefer to end the game when I want to.
