    Icon5 Foolish allies/vassals

Anyone else notice how the AI very often makes retarded decisions when it comes to picking between allies? If you want to attack a weak nation who happens to be the ally of your ally/vassal it seems like 9/10 the AI will choose to end your alliance and maintain an alliance with the weaker AI-controlled faction...I wish this could be changed....ESPECIALLY in the case of vassals who should really have no say in who their parent country is attacking...their support should be automatic, or at the very least they should make the intelligent decision...I hate having to submit to Scotland's will when I play my England campaign and the same thing is now happening with Leon during my Venetian campaign...after paying them a lot of money, I have perfect relations with Leon and yet if/when I attack Hungry they instantly end our newly-formed marriage alliance.

IME the AI is more reluctant to end an alliance for the defending part.... but it seems that Pope relations, Faction relations and aggression starter contribute to it...

yeah, it seems that noone has come to script that part. I hate it when my vassal turn neutral when I attacked his allies. Hate it. The vassal is supposed to OBEY me ALL THE TIME!

Vassals do not work properly - a vassal should be an asset to you, but in practice you can vassalize a country when it's down to 1-2 settlements. It isn't worth it - just squash them.

Vassals? Allies? Allies last only as long as they are useful. Once a nation has the "opportunity" to become my vassal, I would rather crush their king, and bring them into the fold of Tan! Bwahahahahaha! All bow to the Emperor of the WORLD!
