Keep playing SS6.1 with 6.3 installed?

How can i keep my SS6.1 game whilst i have 6.3 installed aswell. i renamed the 6.1 folder but it crashes upon launch. please help

Those versions install into different folders - have you tried it before renaming anything?
The standard installations of 6.1 and 6.3 work fine side by side. Using steam?

Oh sorry i just assumed 6.3 overwrote 6.1....must have misread the FAQ. thanks anyway

It overwrites everything IF you install into the 6.1 folder.
