    Default soldier battle model - where?

    I'm moving some units from Kingdoms to my mod and first truble I have is missing model of soldier in EDU. For example i want to move khasseki cavalry, but when i want to start the game I receive in log message like this:

    Could not find soldier battle model for unit type 'Khassaki' -
    narurally first thing I do is changing tne name of soldier in EDU (for royal_mamluks for example), but it works for infantry units only. If I do it for cavalry I can run the game, but on battlefield I only can see horses.
    So I would like to ask you for information about the plase I can find this bloody soldier battle model.

    vital step? what you mean? Copying textures from the source folder to the destination folder? I've done it.

    it seems i didn't make the same unit
    Kasseki is not the same then kassaki

    I would like to make a mounted version of greeks firethrower. I have a simular problem. I made a new unit, but on battlefield I only can see horses.
    What can be wrong?

    Glad it's fixed out for you u are learning fast gradually when we are stuck at some point and then by expressing our problem to someone it helps and when we are telling him we find the solution ourself.

    Anyways i have never tried but i'll try to solve it. Post the entries for mounted greekfirethrowers.

    Try swapping the animation/skeleton with one that can work on horseback. Exchange these infantry anims:

    17 MTW2_Flamethrower
    14 MTW2_Swordsman 1
    21 MTW2_Arquebus_Primary 1
    18 MTW2_Sword_Primary

    with the same section from a mounted musket unit. It might work, never tried it personally.

    BTW did this unit ever really exist? I imagine that the horses might get scared...

    I have never heard of such a unit historically neither mounted nor infantry. Greek fire was used only in naval battles.

    There was mounted units using flamethrowers.

    Your entry must have such an error, because the game can start, but crash when i want to start the battle.

    I've done it. The game can start normally, but when i want to start the battle, the game crasch. Log olny inform about the error. Without details. Standard communique if modeldb contains errors.

    I would like to ask very silly question. I supose the answer is "no", but i just want to make sure
    Is there possibility to change primary weapon of all greek, arabian and nomadic heavy cavalry to spear without changing textures?
    Perhaps you know something about mod doing it?

    I really don't get ur question but every cavalry unit has a spear or a lance as it's primary weapon so it order to change it u need to edit the mesh file itself with it's corresponding texture as well.

    Almost all heavy cavalry units in the game use lance, but in real no of arabian and nomadic heavy cavalry never used knigsts lances. They only used light and heavy spear. I have no idea who sed to games authors thad Arabs, Turks or Byzantines used knights lances
    It's horrible.
