    Default advice for new player

Played Rome a good bit before and I've recently played a couple vanilla Medieval II campaigns, now I'm ready to check out SS but I've got some quick questions.

I downloaded and installed the game plus the base fixes.

    Questions:

    1. What install setting/options are recommended?

    2. What difficulty should I set the campaign to? I played Vanilla on M/M or M/H mostly because I want the more "realistic" scenario if possible.

    3. Are there any other fixes or patches I need look for other than the "fixes" file?

    Thanks for the help!

The higher the campaign difficulty the harder the battles will be also. The ai generals get insane boosts on the higher difficulties.

Any advice on what options to use during install for a first time SS player?
I assume M/M difficulty is good to start off with? Thanks!

hover the mouse over the options and you get a brief explanation in the right column... it is all a matter of taste...

Make sure you leave RR on, because disabling it is broken. Or check out my submod.
