Default Well armoured/Very Well Armoured abilities.

    Hi there.

I just noticed something and I am a bit ashamed to admit I hadn't realised it so far, after years and years of playing. When a unit gets the well armoured ability (after a certain amount of armour defense) it only appears in the short description of the unit on the custom battle selection screen, but it won't appear in-battle, on the unit_info page.

Is there any way to make it appear in-battle as well? Has anyone worked on this?

    Thank you in advance.

Unit descriptions are dealt in export_units.txt file in the text folder. It has two types short and long. Long one see in campaign under the unit info and short one we see in custom battle selection screen, unit icon when we mouse over it.
Now what do u mean by:-
Is there any way to make it appear in-battle as well?

I thoght that's what all the upgrade icons was for.

For me, if I'm in the middle of a fire fight, the last thing I need pop up is a wall of text.

Seems like you both misunderstood me, apologies.

I am talking about some abilities appearing only in short descriptions and not in the full descriptions.

    Example:
    Dismounted_Chivalric_Knights

It happens with a few other abilities as well.

By "in-battle" I meant to appear in the scroll the second picture shows. The full info of a unit, once in campaign or in-batlle.

Ok i get it u want to add the line "Well Armoured" in to the "Abilities at a glance" thingy right?
If so then it's not possible coz the lines given in it:-
    • Combat bonus in woods etc
    • Good morale
    • Good stamina

All the above three are unit attributes which are being displayed while well armoured in not one of them.
for eg in short description we add the can plant stakes in the export_units.txt file and in the campaign we see Use sharpened stakes. Now this stakes thing is a attribute in the EDU that's why we see it.

Hope this will clear your doubt.

And adding new attributes in M2TW is hardcoded.

I think I understand. Btw, I didn't care to add new abilities. Just make them appear in both descriptions.

    Thanks.
