French diplomacy crash

I'm currently playing the late campaign (on the APE:TI mod) as Britain, and every time I negotiate peace terms with France (threatening, offering techs, anything really) the entire game crashes.
Now, first I thought this was because I had a stack there that can't retreat and that that caused the crash. However, I have obtained military access from Austria (Flanders is a neighbouring province to France) but I still have the same issue.
Is anyone else having this problem?

All kidding aside, I can't say that I've ever experienced a crash with the new RC, diploming with France included. It's not a retreat issue, as I've retreated an army from Goa to Portugal this way. I'd guess it's some corrupted code that gets triggered when you try for peace. Do you quick-save very often? and if so, when you load up the game, do you load it from a specific load file or just the latest auto/quick-save?

Edit: Though if you "fully" saved just before this happens, your latest specific save file might be too recent to be of any good either, unless you keep a backup from a few years before.

Yeah thanks, I'm a few years further now (took france, destroyed it to the ground, rebelled) and now I can threaten peace. So problem solved I guess.

I have this exact same problem.
Using ETF late campaign, I (GB) tried to make peace with France; however, when I send my terms, the game crashes.
I recently uninstalled ACW mod, so that might have something to do with it.
If anyone can find a solution to this bug, it would be much appreciated.
