Annals of Rome
Hey guys when I was younger I used to play a game called Annals of Rome, the idea was that you started with Italy and had a couple of centuries to build as big an empire as you could and then slowly over time various new factions like Goths and Vandals etc would start appearing trying to form their own empires and the game rapidly turned into a fight for survival and the game ended once the Romans were finally wiped out.
Are there any mods out there that recreate this type of gameplay where the outer regions start to revolt because new factions are forming in them and then when the influx eventually enables them to form their own small empires you have to fight to keep all these invaders out of your empire and from wiping you out?

Re: Annals of Rome
I don't think it's possible to do all of what you're describing. And about factions forming in your settlements, there's a limit to how many factions can be spawned from one faction. And doing what is roughly 700 years of history in one mod is just not possible. The faction limit for a start. And the various militaries of Rome. Maybe you could create something similar through a couple of mods. Maybe the Medieval engine would be better for what you're describing.
