What are the factions that you have never tried?

Hi. What are the factions that you have never tried in M2TW? And why?

In me case I hate the Byzantines, I have never tried them, neither their units atract me nor their position in the map, besides I don't like their units and color. And I don't like Poland, Russia and Hungary.

So these are the factions that I have never tried: Byzantines and Poland. Hungary and Russia in a few turns I abandoned them.

I tried all, but didnt played all! How? Mongols and timurids are crashing when starting game... Aztecs loose when i start with them...

To play as the Aztecs you need to scroll down to the Aztecs' line in descr_strat.txt and delete the "undiscovered" line.

As to the factions I have never tried:

Turks
Hungary
Denmark
Scotland
Russia

I didn't know that Norway is playable, so I missed them from the list. I did play Mongols though, and they are a very enjoyable faction to play!

You played as the MONGOLS?? You have got to tell me/us how to do that!!

To play as the Aztecs you need to scroll down to the Aztecs' line in descr_strat.txt and delete the "undiscovered" line.

So, Thats waste of time, because you cant make ships, and AI never go to america...

but you can add ships, in descr_strat... but thats bad that aztecs sailing the ocean with Caravel :/

You need to access the console to play as the Mongols or Timurids. I'm sleepy so you'll have to look up the details yourself but it is possible to play as them when they arrive by handing over control of your selected faction to the AI then switching to the emergent faction. The game will then run its course until they arrive.

No you dont need console. Just install my little mod which makes them playable

No because your mod artifically adds them and gives them land they shouldn't own. Using the console method requires no mod and allows you to play them as they emerge just like in vanilla and real history. You might need to mod them a bit to give them access to all their units from custom battles and imams, hashashin etc though.

well, Im the opposite. since im new I have played with only 5-6 factions only
England, France, Byzantines, Venece and Egypt

but imo byzantines are my favorite faction so far
all things you hate are the things i like fom them

i also tried hungary, played few turns but i didnt like them

My favorite factions in order:
1. Scotland
2. France.
3. Spain (kingdom of Leon)
4. Byzantines
5. Sicily (you can read all about my current sicily campaign in the AAR section of the forums )

Coincidence that most of the factions I dislike are in the north/east.. and moors.. blehh.. never really liked them...

I tryed to play them, but stuff they get in beggining are too complex for my simple mind, i preffer starting with small factions, so everything is where i want (or atleast i know what to do)
