    Default Modifying Units

    If I change the attack, defence, or ownership of a faction in EDU and DMB, it doesn't change in-game. What do I have to do? I never had this problem with RTW!

    I am launching the game via a shortcut to medieval2.exe, if that is what you mean.

    Are you modding the vanilla files or a mod folder?

    The easiest way is open medieval2.preferences.txt in noetpad, add:

    [io]
    file_first = true

    save it, and make it read-only.

    For all the config file goodies, http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=70942.

    Yes follow the Sir Ron advice and make the necessary changes in the medieval2.preferences.cfg file.
