IB Team,

I was just wondering where the future was going for IB in terms of once the MOD's have been created for RTW/MTW2 will you be moving onto the Empire enginer or wait for STW2? I realise this could be in the quite distant future.

The IB mods who want to use the M2TW platform have already done so, and there are several in development.

I personally doubt there will be any IB mods using the ETW or upcoming S2TW platform due to several factors, "unmodability" just being one of them. But you never know, I guess.

And for some reason I doubt very much that the modders will run out of ideas when it comes to late antiquity...

Agree! I personaly would like to have a mod come to life in 323 B.C. Yes i know that DTW exists. However i would like to see a mod made right after the death of ALexander.
Also we still have the east: China, Japan, Korean and so on. And we still have other periods like the guys of ROP do it. There is still alot to do and a very large time of history to mod..

I agree with what Joar said. I think any future mods on other platforms will be extremely difficult. I think there a few more mods on RTW/BI/ALEX that we can look at. I think one that revolves around the rise of the Sassanid Empire over the Parthians would be great. Any volunteers??

I'm in and can help in anyway possible. It's a very interesting epoch.

And that is a very old memory for me but remember me the Age of Empires game. A game that i always loved to play. I once played a mini-mod about that in Age of Empires and i loved it. Doing that for Total War will be nice....

I prefer your first ideia and mine. This second is very limitated.
Also in a possible future mod we need several factions: like Parthians, Sassanids, Eastern Roman Empire, Armenia, perhaps one or two georgian kingdoms. But a questions arise: this will be like a provincial campaign with a small map or this will have a map of all the mediterranean area?

Probably a provincial campaign, we could have gupta/maruya india (whichever one was ruling at this time), parthia, sassanid persia, the scythians and sarmatians, the bosporan kingdom on the black sea (which Ibur could also contribute to) the Roman Empire, and a few others, like the two arab factions

By Arab factions you are refering to Ghassanids and Lakmids right?

In a small part of the map this will be possible and will be a interesting campaign. Let's see if julianus and others will pick this ideia up.

But i also would like to see the mod about the civil war come true.
