Default OT: Who would you serve, Targaryen or Baratheon? - MAY INCLUDE SPOILERS

So, who would you? I wouldn't personally serve them, but I'd be Aegon the Conqueror because he got to ride a dragon, and had awesome armor in the following video's picture of him with his dragon. Can you imagine the fun of riding on top of something that conquered the world? Well, I doesn't matter because I can.

My favorite Targaryen king was Daeron I. Plus I actually look like him, lol!

Well, Baratheon i think. I mean, rhaegar might have been cool and could have made a good king- But personally i would be sick and tired of targaryens. One can never know whether one will be mad or good.

If they`d have dragons i`d serve them, though. How mad they`d might be.

I would serve the Targaryen. There's only been one real Baratheon king and he made more debts than ever.
And I think there have been more good Targaryen rulers than mad ones...

    Targaryen too, like Wardrobe.

The Barathon ruins the Crown. Targaryen can be good rulers.

If the Targaryen was Rhaegar. Not his good 'ol da tho. He was a bit too insane for my liking.

    Hmmm, that is a question...

    Always serve the beast...

Oh the best not the beast.
Robert was soo popular that he needed just a good hand.

Good hand or not. The feasts and tourneys still cost a lot of dough.
Also I think that Stannis wouldn't make a good king. He is too formal and too harsh. Renly seemed like a nice guy to me though maybe a bit too nice to be king.

Baratheon. When you serve a mad King who murders even one of the greatest lords in the realm, no-one is safe and that kind of instability often leads to rebellion (see Richard II). Not only that, but Aerys asks for the heads of another great lord as well as a third Stark.

The Targaryens have way too much history of madness and rage - "Do not wake the dragon" indeed.

And Robert Baratheon was fine as a King. It was only after Jon Arryn died that things began to go bad - but then never in a way that affected the common people or provoked rebellion in the lords of the realm. His most grevious sin was choosing to neglect his responsibility to prevent the incoming storm between Lannister and Stark - he just didn't care anymore. And then he died.

Well it was quite bad before Jon Arryns death as well with all the debts and that Robert didn't really care, he was a great warrior but a bad king but rather a bad king than some crazy like Aerys so i would rather follow Robert.

Not to mention Stannis and Renly, who probably would have made exceptional kings. The Targaryens are too inconsistent in my opinion, you're always going to end up with a blood-thirsty tyrant once in a while even if a few good rulers come to power in betweem. Of course you could argue that the Baratheons were inconsistent judging by Robert's display, but as you said, he wasnt' a bad king until later on in his reign when he lost the will. Still a great warrior and general though.

There hasn't been a royal family in existence ever without some rotten apples. It's the downside of royal families, and if you honestly believe that the Baratheon family would do better, then you are mistaking. They wouldn't, eventually they would screw up. Just look at the treasury for instance, under the last mad king the realm was making money like crazy, under Robbert it was as good as bankrupt and in huge debts. Sure Robbert wasn't entirely mad and didn't kill people just for the lolz but he wasn't exactly a good king either, and if ruling like him would continue then eventually the state would go bankrupt and nothing would remain of the Kingdom at all.

In the end every royal family will screw up at some time or another. Though perhaps the previous one, would be more likely screw up faster and more often.

Targaryens no doubt...an oath is an oath, and no honourable man should back down from it... we want justice...Fire and Blood!

Why would anybody want to serve a bunch of usurpers?

Targaryen without a doubt. Any king who makes a throne out of blades to ensure he doesn't get comfortable while ruling a continent, deserves to be king. And the Targaryens deserve the throne by right anyways. And a crazy king now and again is a small price to pay for justice, especially since most Targaryens were known a good rulers.

But for now I don't see the point of Dany's reconquest of westeros since she can't have an heir anyways...all because of Mirri Maz Duur

Sadly I would follow Not Targaryen or Baratheon. I would follow Nedd Stark, who in turn followed Baratheon.

Hmm.. Interesting option. Maybe i`d urge Jaime to claim the throne. Hehe.

Actually, I change my mind, I would serve Baratheon. Well, Joffrey actually because I act A LOT like him, even more Jaime.

Robert was even better though. Stupid... but better.

I would have served no other house than Targaryen before Robert though.
