    Default Congratulations

Well, I didn't get round to getting back into this again. But i must say, INCREDIBLE WORK. You have got it all but finished, and I think this may be *the* DEFINITIVE mod for RTW.

This forum is getting more views than TATW right now, and it's for a reason

again, well done, sorry i couldn't help more in the end, but i hope you looked after my baby Seleucid Empire for me when i left.

    Hey guys,

I would just like to add my congratulations to those of Nud.

So sorry I didn't end up being of any use in the end - now that I'm deputy editor I've found that my free time for personal projects like these just gets eaten up

Let us know when it's ready and I would love to host it on our site, maybe even give it some coverage. Great work guys, it was a pleasure working with you! (you know, when I was actually around lol).

Yeah, we'd love to have you host the mod too, but in reality it's unlikely to be the only hosting site.

Oh yeah, I remember trying to ask about a timed exclusive didn't I? Don't worry about it! We've since discovered it's not something that really works with mods anyway.

If you guys could just tout our name as an official source or mirror or whatever, that would do! We have our own dedicated servers and as far as I know our speeds are comparable to anything FilePlanet or anything else can offer - and we don't have a 'premium' service or anything so there's no dual system in place. Hell, you don't even need to sign up (although we hope people do).

Someone just PM'd me, so I'll pass along specific details to them, and I assume they'll pass it on to you guys. I'll also have a talk with the other editors, see if we can't get a feature or something done as well.

    Thanks.

I've just asked Ibram if he can upload the files to his site once Bladerunner is finished but keep them hidden before release then we'll have one extra mirror to use with good bandwidth.

Sorry chaps, it's not something that's really come up before. I've asked although the boss isn't in atm, but I don't think the system is set up for it. You just upload something and boom, it's ready to download instantly. There's not 'hiding'.

Unless... we have an FTP server that we use as 'storage' for things like Trailers whilst their moved over the main server, it's easy to add stuff from there would technically be 'hidden' as no one but staff can access it. When added to the main server, it's not uploaded a second time either, as pulling from the FTP is quicker.

    How does that sound?

Sounds good if it's doable. Hopefully Bladerunner will have the installer ready by tomorrow AM (English time)

    Just to keep you busy?

I played a Carthage campaign using the same installer (Paedric) until Summer 558 when it's been killed by a CTD - the save has been posted.

There is a game killing CTD out there.

I once got a around a CTD like this in ETW. I continuously pressed the autosave button while the end-turn was being run. It would repeatedly crash when a certain AI character moved into a city, but with continuously pressing autosave it didn't crash and I was able to finish the campaign without a problem

The problem is that neither I or DVK have got Alex so can't load it as far as I'm aware. Or maybe we can?

No, I think you need Alex - it should not load otherwise.

Well just to make sure that it worked just in case the other one wouldn't. You can stop now if you wish.
Thanks for you help btw. Great job.

We aren't supposed to use either autosave or quicksave (which I think you are referring to) as they are known to corrupt the game.

Personally, I've never had this happen but I followed dvk901's advice and disabled autosave in the preferences file.
