    Default Late Era Kwarezmians

    What do you guys think the best settlement to stop the mongols at is?
    Damghan seems good, but I don't want to lose any more provinces than necessary.

    I prefer cities to be honest against mongols... Long streets to get them at a bottleneck, using my spears to hold them off for as long as possible while ranged units, cav, other spears get in behind and sandwich them all to death

    Then again castles are good because if you get the boiling oil stuff you can keep a spearmen or half dozen to stand on guard undergate so when enemy fighting them, keep getting hot spa treatment

    Yeah, that's why Damghan is good.
    Not too far into your Empire, and a good castle to boot.

    EDIT: Boiling oil is epic against the mongols.

    God, I love boiling oil, much more epic when got pikes. Mongolian skish ka bob anyone?
