Rome is Dead

I have Rome installed on Steam. I havnt played in a few days but its saying Rome Total War encountered an unspecified error and will now close. Same thing for BI and Alexander, but Empire and M2TW run fine....any idears

Have you done any file editing? THat might be the problem. If all else fails try reinstalling. I bought through Steam and it still works.

Mine still works fine so it's probably nothing to do with the steam version.

try going into the propertys of the game and verifying the cache integrity, that usually solves a lot of steam problems.

i recently reinstalled my game 4 times and removed all registry data to top it off but i still get the glitch where me game crashes if it has five or more people in it. i am stuck with 2v2...

my game crashes when i hit the exit gamebutton, instead of closing normally it freezes and i have to ctrl alt delte to bring up the task manager and end game. I cant be bothered to change it or reinstall though.

I suggest you buy the Discs in the store;the Gold edition only costs a few bucks and theres nomore annoying Steam to worry about and its much easier to Mod!

nope. GS has nothing to do with it. The moment the heroic victory banner comes down and the game has more than 4 players it crashes to desktop.
