Default Is there any way we can know another factions family tree

I just wanted to know... JUST ... that how to know another factions family tree.. if i have to choose a suitable pure blooded prince for my princess... its really sad i have to toggle_fow and then check every settlement and character for marriage alliance... if you see in medieval times people used to have full family trees to refer so they could select a duke for marriage alliance...

Well... then I'll go "in before the lock"

    and say another (complicated) way:
Play hotseat. Save. Use the console (control factionname) to switch the AI faction you want to look at to human. Hit end turn. Look, reload your old save.

OR use assassin's to kill every named general in sight until you see the "Faction destroyed" window. That way you'll know there are 0 family members!

Very difficult to do though unless you line a load of good assassins up to all known faction members and assassinate them all in the same turn.

As a family tree gets smaller, they get more sons, more men of the hour, more adopted sons.

If you start seeing 'heir' kick up on every general you come across after killing the last heir, you can be sure they're slowly dying off.

each family member will get a maximum of four children... adopted or kin... so if you kill enough family members and fast enough, they will not be able to replenish... I usually kill the scots and in the 6,1 the Irish in that way in a few turns...

If your playing hard or very hard, the AI gets some sort of general boost when it gets too low, but I dont know if this means family member or not.

    That only works once:
    Code:
    monitor_event FactionTurnStart FactionType norway
        and not FactionIsLocal
        and I_NumberOfHeirs norway < 4

        spawn_army
            faction norway
            character random_name, named character, age 20, x 114, y 280, family
            traits MilitaryInclination 2 , Military_Edu 2 , NaturalMilitarySkill 2 , GoodCommander 1 , Loyal 2 , ReligionStarter 1
            unit NE Bodyguard exp 2 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
        end
    terminate_monitor
    end_monitor
