Need campaign advice

I'm playing as the HRE, I have alliances with:

Papal States
Venice
Sicily

I want to go to war with Genoa but they are allied with the Papal States, Venice and Sicily as well. I decreased my garrison in Bologna to one unit, my General, and built a fort on the border of Venice to put my garrison in hoping to entice Genoa to take their stack to take Bologna. I would go to war outright but once I lose my alliance with the Papal States I don't think it will ever be allowed back. In a previous campaign after fighting with an ally of the Pope I could never ally with the Pope...

Also Sicily is holding Naples a town much better suited for zee Reich. I cannot buy it from them, tried 73k, its said very demanding... I even cheated myself 200k and offer 273k and still said very demanding. In reality the Pope hated the Sicilians, so they should have poor relations and no alliance but I didnt catch this before starting again. So I also need this ally to betray me and lose their alliance with the Pope.

Any grand schemers out there know of any way to provoke a back stab with the Savage AI???

Take the men out of the fort and into the woods. Ai will come.

As for Sicily, you need to get perfect relations with the pope (I mean like gift one or two settlements to him) and the next turn, as long as you are better in everyway then Sicily (Money, power, land, papal standing (should be because you are at above perfect (why am I using so many parentheses?))) and then declare war onSicily, the pope should brake with Sicily.

It's not going to happen. In the faction standing file, HRE has bad standing with the Pope, and Sicily has good a standing. If Sicily attacks you, the Pope will side with them.

I got my relations to perfect now and allied with them. I'll try to cancel alliance with sicily and then attack once I have the better rep. Which I think me, genoa and sicily are all at perfect.

what happened to your west, north and east borders?

I'm taking over the Burgundy provinces in the west, have Lyons marching on Marseille and Dijon. I have Antwerp, Stettin, and Wroclaw in the north. Making navy plus army to take Visby. I have Prague and Zagreb to the east. Ancona and Bari to the south. No real wars yet just rebels. Leaving Thorn and Bruges to the AI. I also have had Valencia, Damascus, and Aleppo. Through negotiations and bribes. Sold them all to Leon and Crusaders.

I was just asking on how I could get the AI to back stab me. First time playing SS so I dont know the AI.

1. Maintain very low garrison and hide your main army in the sparse forests( the army shouldn't be in the LOS of an enemy watchtower).
   
2. Trespass there regions so that your relations drop out.
   
3. Break any treaties like trade rights etc
   
4. Ally with their enemies
