Does anyone else see the people on the official TW forum as "inferior" to TWC'ers

There's something about them that bothers me, they just seem to be very stupid to me. It seems they have no clue about how Total War games work. Anyone else think people on the official forums are inferior to people here on TWC?

Generally The member base of Official forums in any game are casual dimwits.

I've come across the official forums a couple of times when googling things like Europa Barbarorum. I didn't see lots of it but my guess is they've got a higher proportion of younger posters. Still, it didn't look bad enough to warrant an "us and them" thread.

Maybe not, shireknight, but there are those in the "official" forums that do shy away from us unless all of a sudden they need "something".

That's because you're a modding board with a forum bolted on top, If members (or myself) need a mod then this is the first place I think of and recommend they go to but for serious TW discussion the official forums is the place to be.

We have lots of serious TW discussion here and we also have far more posting freedom and far more competent moderators.Not to forget the freedom from over Censorship.

For example unlike over at the official forums I can say that Empire had an almost human AI.Human as in a retard with a turd to direct his troops.

I believe we have had some serious TW discusions here over the years and you are welcome to have your input as well. It's just the "official" forums are at times too serious for most. Many have something to say and if it not said a certain way, it is deleted as against CA or Sega or considered a rant instead of asking questions and looking for the reasons for what was said. If the "official" forums would go about asking questions instead of condemning the messenger, a lot of the animosity would cease. It's a two-way street.

That's a very prejudiced view and a sweeping generalisation and to be honest if I were to adapt your view of identifying the intelligence and attitude of members of a forum based on a few posts, I would say that the members of this forum are up themselves. Now I don't have these views because I realise that not everyone is the same. Obviously there are some differences, for example this forum is geared more towards modding and the official one seems more of a discussion/ingame support forum but they each do not solely consist of those respective aspects.

Now can we play nice and try not to troll? I mean creating a topic suggesting that members of another forum are inferior just astonishes me which makes me think that no-one honestly believes it.

I wouldn't say that there's a difference in people. The creativity and involvement of the community here is higher.
