Sometimes it is not the big events that are important. It is often the small things, the everyday people that make the big differences. This man made a difference. Every movie, every entertainer, every music event had something worthwhile as far as he was conerened. He left a legacy of smiles behind. Though he is not very well known outside of Denver Colorado and some local media outlets scattered over the country, I have no doubt there are a great many Reggies out there in every city and town.
Reggie began as a caller to various talk shows and worked that into a job. A great job interviewing a great many people. A bit of a gig on some other local radio outlet but not quite a syndication. Even some writing for a few Black entertainment publications. A late in life career that unfortunately ended a few months ago. His was 60.
Rest in Peace Reggie!

Friday, August 20, 2010
He was an 850KOA character, movie critic, and host of a weekend talk show called the Everyday People's Entertainment Guide. 850KOA has learned that our former talk host Reggie McDaniel has passed away after a long illness. McDaniel interviewed Hollywood's biggest stars and shared great stories of his military service with our audience throughout the years. When it came to reviewing movies, he often referred to the flicks as, "Outstanding." Services for McDaniel will be held Saturday, Aug. 28th at My Father's House, 14700 E. Mississippi in Aurora.
