    It's all about honor, and stabbing someone in the dark without giving them a fair chance to fight back is about as nasty as it gets.
    Assassins = Dread. The end.

    Aggressive. I want the AI to come after me even when I'm the one attacking. Then "I" get to choose the ground, not them. I suck as an attacker but defense is another story...."Let them come, let them come"...

    The few times AI has sat defensively for very long on anything except a tall hill have led to some of my easiest victories so... even though it kills itself being overly aggressive it still has more initiative when it attacks me and I have to be more careful.

    If AI would simply make its judgment more on terrain and amount of ranged units in each army it would be more difficult. I know it is capable of judging that sometimes because when it is badly outnumbered it sits on top a hill across the map. It should just do that more often... almost all the time in fact when it is the one being attacked- unless player army has more than 50% ranged infantry.

    Depends. If I outnumber the enemy I wouldn't expect them to charge at me head on, but pick and choose when they fight. Generally speaking, however, aggressive ai is better because it forces you to react and alter your battle plans.

    I've lost track of how many times I beat the vanilla ai simply by chasing them to the edge of the map (in my experience the vanilla will never advance towards you unless they outnumber your forces by at least 300, makes for some enthralling games of chasey ), pinning their infantry down and flanking them with cavalry (thank god for G5 ).

    Despite this I vote for mixed, battles are much more fun when you can't predict how the ai will fight (at least until a few minutes into the battle ).
