Only the low level temples has no conversion bonus. Bigger ones have some on a reduced level.
The priests' conversion bonus is also reduced.

Reply from XAI if you are interested:

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
It looks like there may have been a couple of factors.

    1) Papal Favor has a big influence. In XCAI we tied things more together to the religions. Obviously if you are catholic, you are much more tied to the Papal states. This is to increase the power of the church for the papal states.
    2) Your money may have had more to do with separation of power, it all depends on which files are used. XAI has much bigger bands of Power and Money, this does affect you Human to AI diplomacy.
    3) If you did some conquering and did not get your catholic conversions up above 90% then you are prone to inquisitors, and if the pope doesn't like you..you can expect to see them more.

There are many factors that can influence things that you may not even know about, which makes determining the exact causes hard to determine without following the logs.

However, everyone must fall from domination, and XCAI is designed to try and keep smaller nations banding together against the larger ones (same religions).

I wanted a strong religious influence with the AI, like CA originally intended. Because the whole point of the crusades was religion.

There are other rules in the CAI that can be messing with you too. I tried very hard to keep human players from being able to stay too popular for too long.

I am glad you are enjoying it though, hopefully your rise to power will happen again, enjoy them while they last. Just remember to rep the members of the team too.

    Basicly:
    - loss of papal favour because of heresy
    - every catholic's opinion is tied to the papal opinion

    also:
"I tried very hard to keep human players from being able to stay too popular for too long."

    edit:
Just played a few turns, with a crusade. Once again, I'm stuck over there.

Would it be possible to increase the spawn rate of mercenary cogs?
I usually go with a navy of 4-5 ships, but during the actual crusade I am always attacked by rebel pirates.
(the AI can't really handle them, and I am quite far as Hungary).
When it is time to go back, I can't and this is the second time I am stuck with an army (once in Antioch, now in Granada) and the respawn rate of mercenary galleys is slow (building a shipyard + 4-5 cogs is 10-12 turns).

    Also a screenshot.
Spain is wiped out by Moors.
Denmark, France, Egypt, Poland, Sicily is OK.
Novgorod, England, Kiev doesn't seem to be doing anything. (Also Portugal and Spain didn't do anything. The white and red in Iberia is my crusade, Granada as me, Cordoba was a present to the pope.

I also think that the new AI forces the pirates to attack even if they will be defeated.
This means that when someone sets sail, the ships are like a magnets to pirates.

From Granada I tried to leave with 3 cogs and 3 battlecogs (or something lvl 2 ships). I defeated about 4-5 pirate navies, and was surrounded around Cagliari where my crusade army was sunk.

Date is about 1130, with H/H difficulty.

I guessed it is quite random between Kiev/Cuman/Lithuania/Novgorod, but in all my games Spain was wiped out by 1100-1110. Also HRE usually becomes a minor power, sometimes falls completely.

Great! It seems there is no problem with the test fix. However I wait a bit before the official bugfix release.

The 2.14 patch contains the knights's descriptions.

    Bugfixer release:
    http://www.filefront.com/17588785/Bugfixer_English4.zip
Unzip like the rest of the files.
Run delete_maprwm_MM2.bat if you played the mod earlier.
Some changes apply only if you start a new game.

    Just installed 2.14, works fine!

I really like the new infantry and its textures and thumbnail pictures, for me it adds a lot to the experience.
Thanks again for your work guys!

One request: few historic battles to be included (or a guide to how to make them).

    Cheers

    Hi István,

Good to see you again here.

    About creating historical battles:

Find Magyar_mod2.cfg in the main folder of the game. Open it. Add this line under [features]:
    editor = true

Start the mod, options and you will see the editor in the menu.
If I remember well at first you need to create a 'Custom' folder in MEDI2\mods\Magyar_Mod2\Data\world\maps\
And the name of the battle.

You may check the vanilla historical battle files here: MEDI2\data\world\maps\Custom\
