    Default Questions/Recommendations for BI-Mods

Just wanted to pick peoples brains, I am returning to play after having a holiday from RTW for a couple of months. Can anyone reccommend a MOD for BI I have tried to sift through the major MOD forum but cant seem to decipher which MODs are built around BI

    Cheers.

I'm playing with Dath's 1.45 BI gameplay and 1.0 formations with a couple twists; I use the vanilla unit.txt file with a global +2 troop morale and increased anti-cavalary bonuses for spearmen.

Imperia Romana will be out with a version soon. We are a realism mod. We are to BI what RTR and EB are to RTW.

i was wondering if all of you know if the Bi: Make all mods playable is worth it for those of you who tried it. i played it when it first came out and it always crashed i dont know if it was fixed or not. i do not want to installe something if it isnt worth it or makes the game crash.

If you're referring to the 'BI: Make all factions playable' then in v0.1 there were a couple of CTD bugs but only after you captured a settlement as the RBs or the Slavs. The latest release v1 has no CTDs in it as far as my ability to test.

You should always keep backups of your original files and I recommend using a mod swapper programme such as JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler, that allows me to use loads of different mods with little fuss, whilst always being able to restore my originals.

    Default Questions/Recommendations for BI-Mods

As the title suggests, this is a mod for BI that changes values for units all across the board. All together it is meant to make battles longer and more enjoyable, and simultanously make the game harder. If you want to enjoy the mod the way its sopoed to be enjoyed, then I STRONGLY recommend that you install this with Darth's "Barbarian Invasion Game play fix Version 1.5" and His formation changes for BI. The URL for both- http://www.twcenter.net/downloads/db/index.php?mod=671 and
http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=37680, and then install my changes over his.

This mod is designed to attempt to rework the current battle system. This is done by making heavy units stronger, but more expensive in comparison to light infantry. Over the individual unit changes there is also an overall morale and armor cost. The bigger overall change is a large increase in construction costs, and a slight increase in upkeep. Heavy cavalry have also been made extremely expensive, but also very powerful. Peasants are no longer recruitable (but they are still in the game for the horde factions). The roman army has also been rebalanced. You should remember also, that this is the second version of the mod, the first version I tested myself, so this will be the first public version. So for future changes I will be relying on comments and suggestions. I will have a thread open about this in the BI section on TWcenter, and you can always PM me in TW if you have any problems.
