I'm trying to downloading this, but I can't! I cannot understand what to download!
However will this mod add new factions or increase map and roaster?

If you're referring to Fate of Empires? reading the FOE Manual is a good place to start. It is RTR's latest released project and well worth playing.

For fate of Empires - its just FOE 1.1 and the 1.4 patch. The link is in the post above. Just make sure you have BI patched to 1.6.
And the others? What are they? Extended Realism, Platinum etc?

What you must realise, Zack, is that Rome Total Realism has been around for a very long time and that there have been many mods based on its basic code. For example, RTR6 Gold was released about four or five years ago and was designed to be played with RTW patched to 1.2. When, a year later, RTW was revised to patches 1.5/1.6, RTR6 Gold was revised to work with these new patches and became known as RTR - Platinum Edition, or RTR-PE.
Over the years, Platinum itself has been modded by other RTR enthusiasts and I think that RTR-PE Extended Realism, currently, is probably the most popular and extensive of these.![]()
So what's better between FOE and ExRm?

Why not try them both and find out for yourself.![]()
What can you say to me about AqD's RTR Mod?
Best M2TW mods :)
They each have their own styles across all of the mechanics.
If we were to take one of them, battle stats, then we can summarise them as follows:
AqD:
Many hit points for all units.
More emphasis on combat units since missile units play a much greater support role in that they reduce hit points but don't cause as many casualties.
Unit systematisation (??).
I don't really play AqD's mod all that much, he has also had to abandon the project due to life commitments which means no more new releases until he gets back (if ever).
ExRM:
Reduced lethality values for longer battles, but largely plays the same as RTR platinum. No uber Brythonic chariots.
Stats to be completely reworked and systematised in 4.0 with more emphasis on keeping the armies morale together.
FOE:
Even lower lethality values than ExRM. Designed to make the battles last a long time allowing for more tactical manourvers and the use of reserves.
Unit systematisation. No uber Brythonic chariots.
There are loads of other different mechanics that have been manipulated different.
Recruitment.
Buildings.
Map size.
City density.
and so forth.
In my opinion, FOE is a fantastic mod but the amount of detail it has makes it more suited for people who have the time for it. If you happen to be impatient, or don't like the level of detail it has then AqD's mod and ExRM are perfectly viable alternatives. They both use the "grand campaign" style, that is a map stretching from Spain to India, Scandinavia to Egypt.
ExRM is my personal favourite, but I'm biased![]()
