Not that I can directly think of in just one hour
I suppose you want us to ask you questions to see if you know the answer?
Ok, I'll get some questions for you here by HB![]()
What kind of warfare did the Germanic tribes get involved in during the 3rd Century BC? What were their customs, weapons and armour like? How common was iron to the region? Were the spears sharpened wood, or did they have iron tips? Were swords and iron heads at all common? If so, did they smith them themselves or did they acquire the weapons from elsewhere? If they did it themselves, where did the iron come from? What of cavalry? How good was Germanic cavalry? Where they light missile cavalry, or did they act as heavy cavalry?

What were the ship types used at the start of the Punic Wars, and which important naval developments were done by who? How did these work out? Could you explain to me the terms ''trireme'' and ''quinquireme'', and on which facts these are based? What were the biggest ships in this time, and who used them? Could you tell me why the Batavi Uprising managed to exist for a few years, and why it failed in the end?

Why did Italia give up on the social wars and settle for a citizenship when the Romans were clearly scared of them?

I'm fairly certain that the Carthaginian quinquiremes were the biggest ships in the West, or maybe the Veneti (North Gallic) ships. In the middle of the first Punic war, the Romans reverse engineered the quinqueremes and used them. In the Eastern Mediterranean there were much bigger ships though.
I think the numeric prefixes are the amount of rows of rowers on each side.
And about the Mayan collapse, I think I've read about irrigation problems having something to do with it, but I have no idea.

The Italians have no intentions to die for Rome, and nothing to get for that. They have special taxes and must to give army for every warfare, and haven`t civil rights and right to vote. When Drusus was killed the war escalated.
On other side was Romans. Very hard economic and demographic situation (when, said demographic, I meant on a people with Roman civil rights) was on show from the fall of Carthage. The Romans hated Italians even they save them in many occasion, so they were for the war. At the end of the war, consuls proposed the law which give the civil rights to all Italians south of Padus river.
So, what I can say for that is. But, this was the only way for Rome to survive. Without this Italians the country won`t have more than two breeds, and will disappear.

I think the Batavian Revolt lasted as long as it did mainly because it coincided with a civil war in the Roman Empire - the Year of Four Emperors. So Rome could not spend that much attention on them at first. They had also fought under Rome as auxilia and so probably knew Roman tactics.
However, once Vespasian came out on top in Rome, they couldn't withstand the full force of the legions.

The mayan civilasation collapsed becuse of hunger
the climate system they lived in was very unbalanced. im not gonna explain the whole theory (cuase that would take hours) but basicley they built more city and cut down more trees witch made it rain allot more selldom. food became a raraity and finaly they fought against everone else for it

italy was already united before the punic war, but i think that you are mostly right Strabon
you are correct the Carthaginians had the biggest ships in the western mediterranian becuase they had used ships the longest and had the resorses to develope them

that is quite a hard question to answer Carados as we dont have any records of these things and that there have been so few discoveries in germany from 300 bc.
but i guess it wasnt that diffrent. i now that they didnt fight to conquer but for resorces and reputation
i think that only warlords and great warriors had iron amrour and swords
i also think that about 4/5 of the germanic warriors could afford iron spear points
and as for the culture i think it didnt change that much
tactics:there was only one... charge
i dont think the germans used allot of calvarymost warlords and rich warriors had a horse but they would just ride to the battlefield dismount and attack

there are multiple theorys and historians still debate about it![]()
I however support two of these
it might be either a religios tempel or a grave of a great king. there have been other sites in great brittania like stonehedge. but none however offer any clues about what they are
