Default [Temporarily Solved]Darkening Skies (in battle) - Lighting Error?

    Hi, guys
I am facing a problem with lighting. I mean the brightness of light ( Cloudy, Rainy, Clear, Snow, Winter and Summer etc .)
I use 6.3. with Savage AI, Stone Fort Mod, CT4 dirt version and some self-modification.
I modded 2TPY and deleted the Aging Script. And I raised some king's purse for HRE and Byzantine Emp., and changed Adrianople into a Castle from the start and raised the relations between Kievan Rus and Byzantine Emp. That's what I self-modded.

Now, I played a battle to capture Rebel city of Scopia as Byzantines.
The lighting was somewhat cloudy summer lighting with the sun(light source of the sky dome) on the north just above the mountains. The enemy advances to sally out and they are now marching towards me. Still nothing happened. Then about 1 min later (from the start of the battle), the lighting grows dark and dark and I can't even see the men clearly. It was like a sunset time. What the hell is that? Changing from Mid day to sunset immediately. Whwat's wrong with that. A bug? A graphical error?
I faced similar problem when I was fighting a rebel force near Adrianople.

    Temporarily solved

Yes, screenshots. I would be idiot if I don't catch screenshots.
I will try to post screenshots when I get back home. Now it is night already. May be tommorow, hopefully the internet connections may be good at home.
Because they are doing maintainance during these days.

I've experienced it too:snowstorm suddenly, clear day when starting game and suddenly very and i mean very dark. But i thought it was the purpose of the game to reflect real weather/night conditions.
Maybe one of the creators of SS6.3 can answer this one....?

Yeah I also faced extremely heavy snowstorm which even disrupt my visibility and game play. I have to click flash button often to see my troops and enemies' location. At that battle I was facing Hungarians as Byzantines somewhere in the north Bulgaria.
And here are the screenshots if you wanna have a look.

Is there anyway to remove this.

    hit pause

Open graphics menu and change brightness, then make sure to change it back before the end of the battle or else you have to exit out of campaign and go to main menu options. Not the desired fix but definitely a quick fix until the patch comes out.

In all of CA's infinite wisdom they allow graphic tweeks in battle map but not campaign map.
Oh, for Heaven's sake, now you're being deliberately stupid.

Wudang why did you close the thread? Because you can't find a source refuting mine? LoL how's the quest to ban me going?

I definitely do increase the brightness when this happens even before you say it.
I just readjusted back to 42% (my normal brightness) when taking the screenies.

Yep. THat's what I want to say. The Lighting Source Disappearance Bug if you wish to name.
I have confirmed myself that is a bug.

I just had the exact same thing happen to me in a battle near Bruges, it was already night and all of the sudden all the lighting just died. I still had the light from the torches in my army so I was able to play, but it completely froze on me about a minute after the light went out.

Hey, I got a reverse of the bug.
I was having a battle and the lightning becomes brighter and brighter but it didn't get worse thus didn't disrupt my gameplay. But the lighting increases significantly enough to be noticed in just 30 secs. It was like the light source come out of the horizon. A sunrise or something?
I will see if my screenshot was deleted along with my SEGA folder (I had all files messed up and was forced to delete the whole folder ).

I don't mind these sudden changes in darkness/light, sure it's too quick, but it's more of than the "promise" of battles lasting dusk till dawn that rome and m2tw vanilla were supposed to have, however they were no changes to that during a battle.
Don't forget to rep me if you like something I did/ or not lol

I've seen it a couple more times now ,and it's definitely the sun setting! I saw the light disappear behind the mountains. I wasn't zoomed in before when it happened so I didnt notice it was actually the sun setting, but it is. Not a bug!

Default One of the new possible battle "weathers" is bugged

Ive noticed with Stainless Steel there appears to be 2 problems with either the existing weathers, or the 2 new ones added. One is more minor, but the fog that appears, is very very distracting. I've noticed it appears very often, alot of times when im on defence and cant wait for better weather. You cant see much at all and must be very closely zoomed up to see anything. It makes battles harder, but not because of challenge, but because I cant see anything. Also, the main bug im reporting, is that battles can turn to a very dark sunset in this mod, which is interesting, but very difficult to see anything. As you can see in the screenshot, it appears the level is lacking a light sorce at all. The sky has still light, but the entire battlefield is lacking lighting entirely
