I thought I'd post this interesting scenario that happened to me today that has taught me a lesson in humility.
As the Romani and the year being 248 BC my most experienced legion albeit led by a relatively new general with great potential is depleted from the recent siege of Messana and a recent field battle just outside of it. With a huge Carthaginian mercenary army in southern Italy I tried my luck at attacking Lilybaeum by surprise as it only had a garrison of about 6 units. I move my tired army towards the city and wait until the next season to regain my movement points and commence the siege. But the Carthaginians wanted otherwise. During their turn they attack my legion with a force about three and a half times as big as mine comprised of soldiers perphaps just below the skill of mine, but still a force to be reckoned with. I'm not going to describe exactly how the battle proceeded but the results were extraordinary. I routed the enemy army killing about 90% of them with only 10% of my army being slain. Some of you experienced players are thinking "Meh, I do that **** in my sleep" but nonetheless to me it was epic. I pressed the Print Screen button for a screenshot of the results (which for some reason is just turning up as a solid black screen on paint, as well as all my other ones. Maybe someone can help me here) and after I alt-tab'ed out of EB, and failed to paste it on paint when I tried to go back to EB and the screen would just flicker back and forth between a black screen and the desktop and I was forced to restart my PC.
Discuss, maybe tell me why my screenshots aren't turning out and laugh at me if you feel like it.
P.S Maybe some rep would make me feel better...actually it wouldn't...![]()
