Messed up save files?

So in my new mod I can't load a game for some reason... I just get a nasty crash. Does anyone know why this would happen?

Your saves are no longer compatible with the mod. You have to start a new campaign.

But I mean I started the campaign in the mod, and saved it in the mod. So I can't play a campaign in my mod? 0.o

You mean u make a save in your mod and then when you try to continue your campaign it crashes. Right?
Have you altered any files of it prior of continuing the mod?

Yes, correct. I didn't touch anything, I started a campaign, saved it, and when I tried to reload I crash.

Not good. Did you have anything running in the backgound when you saved it?

When you change the map, you change the map.rwm and 9/10 of the time the saves no longer because the save depends on the info in the map.rwm and other files.
About the only files you can change and keep your saves are in the text folder.

I can't quite remember, I'll go try it now and see if that was the problem.

EDIT: Nope, still just crash.

I suspect your save has probably recorded a fault which does not cause a CTD while ingame. For example you may have spawned units with names that don't exist. When it comes to loading the savegame it finds it cannot load these nonexistant things.

That sounds logical. So, erm, how do you fix it?

Did you check your log? It may give a clue.
