Settlement Capture CTD
A CTD just happened to me. It happened just when I clicked "Occupy settlement" after capturing harondor North After a relef force of two separate armies (Plus the garrison army so three armies total) attacked me. IT WAS A HEROIC VICTORY AND I WAS REALLY PROUD OF IT. I destroyed the garrison army so I captured the settlement but when I clicked "Occupy settlement" THE GAME CRASHED. AFTER A HEROIC VICTORY. PLEASE FIX THIS PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

This is a standard RTW bug, it does happen on occasion, no solution has been found yet.

My knowledge of this bug, is that if you lose a General (ie the only General) then try to take a town it occurs. Never heard of it happening outside of this. :S

It happens rarely, chances are it won't happen next time you play the battle.

It happens quite a bit in EB,
I always save the game on the settlement fate screen.
If it happens at the start of your turn (ie you capture a settlement without having to fight for it) and then reload the autosave, you will be in possessions of the settlement but don't get to choose its fate.
Other suggestions include canceling all your construction and recruitments, but I've never tried this and should only be tried if you keep getting a CTD on the same settlement.
Saving before a battle causes some issue but that usually CTD upon leaving the battle-map (clicking the done button) or during the loading screen back to the campaign map.
If you have a really big battle that you don't want to repeat then it esc and save
