Some starting problems
Hey guys,
I'm new in buisiness, but I love it ;-)
Because I'm new in the game I try to play after the 15-round-guide.. Monday it works fine, and nearly everything happen like it should..
But yesterday I start a new campaign and now Hannibal doesn't attack me. After two turns he conquer one of my citys, but he doesn't attack my general like he do on monday.
On top of that the advisor vanish instantly, on monday the advisor ask me on every new campaign if I want to activate garrison script.
Any ideas? Reinstall doesn't work.
Thanks for your help
Fiocco
PS: It would be nice if someone could update the first 15 rounds with the new map and unit addon, their are some differences, even when they are small.
PPS: Maybe it is because my bad english, but I dont understand when I can save my game mwith activatet garrison script..

Re: Some starting problems
Thanks for ur answers. But could you please try again to explain at which time in game i can save without the risk to corrupt the game? I read your Thread, but, shame on me, I dont understand at which point in a round I should save the game to be save..

Re: Some starting problems
Oh okay.
Well first you need to activate the script. It needs at least one turn to kick in, but you are best done by playing 2 turns in row at least. Saving, well after you load the game and BEFORE you end your turn, you can save as much as you want since the script has nothing to worry about as you do not go into another turn. However once you press end turn, script will come into being and will start working upon pressing the end turn button again.
So, you must play 2 turns almost always, never save during AI turn and always keep several savegames in case one goes corrupted or similar.
Hope it helps, if not ask away.

Re: Some starting problems
Ok, I repeat, I load a game, activate the script, play, press end, play the next round, and then save before I press Next turn again??

Re: Some starting problems
I personally save about 20 times a turn so save all my actions. But as I said, you need to play 2 turns, or exactly press the End Turn Button twice for script to kick in.

Re: Some starting problems
When I enter battle, I see only my Army and a complete clear and lonley wood, hill or whatever. On the minimap I see a red line arround some arrows (my units) and a white line arround nothing. When I press the "Start battle"-button the enemy army appears at the minimap and in the real map, so we can fight.
Short form: I can't see with wich formation teh enemy enters the battle.

Re: Some starting problems
That I do not know but it is rather useless. IF you want to adapt, just place your troops away from the frontline.

Re: Some starting problems
And there it is... The enxt question.. :-)
When I fight enemys with two legions, I have the command over one legion, then I get a messege, that reinforcments arrived, they wait behind the battlefieldborderline. Thge units "waiting to enter the battle". What can I do that they enter the battle and help me?
In one fight they enter the battlefield after 15 minutes, but fight was almost over then..

Re: Some starting problems
Before the battle, you need to allow AI to control your army and have your preferences set to unlimited men on battlefield to TRUE.
