Question, is this compatible with the 6.4 bug fixes? Only asking because when i try to Run SS with both NHA (manually installed) and the Bug fix, i still see the ancillary icon, but it doesnt have a descrpition

My bad, figured it out.
Would this work in an existing game if the ancillary were to be added to the heir (or the next heir) via a console command?
My 'pure bloodline' got destroyed immediately after my FL passed away, with the next FL being the default Sicilian second son, and the new heir being for some reason a Man of the Hour-captain...

Not sure if people still frequent this thread, but I'm having a problem with the ancillary. I've installed the submod correctly and selected it in my setup. It was working properly for the entire campaign but in one of my more recent battles my general with the ancillary (my heir's son) died. Now I know you have said that the mod is supposed to re-create the ancillary with the FH or the FL on the next turn, at this point it's been close to 20 turns since he died and the ancillary has still not re-appeared.
Is there something wrong with my install? If so, what is the name of the ancillary (so I can add it to my character through the console)? I've tried several things that I thought would work but each time my ancillary won't appear, I'm using the wrong ancillary name.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks a lot and thanks for creating this mod- it's a lifesaver for this stupid heir system in M2TW vanilla
Ah thank you so much!
Can someone give me a step by step set up for this because I don't get get it. Am I pasting a folder into directory? if so which one? campaign? data? or am I replacing lines of text? the instructions aren't clear.
Is there a a simple installer instead?
Does this work through steam?
Hello,
I installed the submod, and when I start a new game the heir does not get the ancillary. The submod was checked in setup to be enabled and I tried adding it manually with the give_ancillary "Ioannis Komnenos" heir_crown as well, but the game says could not find this ancillary in the database. Please help! Thanks!
I'm trying out SSHIP by the way.
Do I need to download ss6.4 and the setup or just the setup and drag the text file over to the camp sub folder
alright, so i have the mod installed, i've given my heir crown to the specified heir, but the crown doesn't seem to be working... here is an album showing that i have SS 6.4, and the ancilliary for 6.4, and the heir has the crown, but it doesnt seem to work right when the fl dies http://imgur.com/a/GjFmh any idea whats going on? i could really used some help, im trying to keep the crown with the royal line
I would also like to echo Commanderm56's inquiry as this has been happening to me as well in my France Campaign- even though I've given the ancillary to the specified character, when the FL dies the next heir is chosen by highest amount of chivalry ala vanilla
In some cases NHA cannot influence who will become the next heir due to some hardcoded limitations of the game. First possibility is of course could be a bad installation so double check your files just in case. If it's all good then I suggest starting a new campaign (alternatively load an earlier save) and test if NHA is working properly. Now there are several scenarios where NHA doesn't work as it should: there might be a character in your family tree with much higher authority than your next heir OR your next heir might have several traits that gives him negative authority (which reduces the effectiveness of NHA) OR something called Left-most rule, which in rare cases ignores everything and gives the crown to the character on the left most side of the family tree, there's no workaround for this unfortunately. These issues are rare and seems to occur in late game which the family tree gets larger. If it's authority related, you can always try to fix it by giving them traits (via console) that add or remove authority points and see if your desired heir gets the crown.
I did it manually, I did it via ss-setup and I did it by replacing files. Well, I went so far to reinstall everything. It didn't work. Result always the same, as commanderm56 specified, so something is broken.![]()
