I do agree with Meneth on that.... something is... strangetry changing to to france or something and then see if it applies to everyone including them.
also note to next mod to see this: maybe move this to submod forum? since this is some sort of mod for ss6.3, released, in progess, or personal![]()
this didnt work for me for some reason...
Im using Meneths sub-mod compilation and I have NHA enabled.
My King's first son had the crown, but I gave it to the third son. After
The King died, The first son became king, but the third one did not.
The first son's son became the prince.
Is there any special trick to doing this using Steam? I'm running 6.4 and it won't work anymore after installing this mod.
EDIT: Disregard this message (for now) I think I just downloaded the wrong version of NHA.

No, the mod works (sorta--more on that later) fine, it's just that there's either a whole lot of extra information that doesn't really need to be there, or I was looking in the wrong place. For some reason I had been reading some post(s) on how to manually append the heir crown data, and must have assumed that was the current method/workaround for allowing the player to select his heir.
That said (and continuing my awesome track record with MTW mods) I couldn't help but bang my head on the desk when I finally got this to work, passed off my heir crown to a biological son, and then...
...someone completely different got not only the heir but the crown as well. The king's son (who had been my default heir at the start of the campaign) did not receive the crown, and my character with the Heir Crown accordingly did not receive his princely right. I wish I'd have taken before-and-after screenshots, but it didn't occur to me at the time.
So I went back to my last save to make sure I had done everything right, and continued to play since my king was like 85 and I knew it'd only be a few more years until he croaked. This time, my designated heir got the throne, but my Heir Crown recipient, again, did not become the next heir. I've been over the OP and I'm pretty sure I'm doing everything right, but as my results are nowhere near yours (so far) I have to wonder what it is I'm missing.
This mod just doesn't seem to work for me. I have read through most of this thread and know about all the quirks, but i cannot figure out why my selected Heir does not become Heir. Maybe someone else can spot something wrong here.
This is one of the Kings sons who i want to become Heir. He has heaps of Authority and the Orb.
This is the guy who becomes Heir when the King dies. As you can see he is rather pathetic, i actually gave him some authority just in case he was negative somehow. Although to my knowledge he has +1 authority. He has 4 now. Still much less than Eideard.
Here is my family tree for what it's worth.
I ran a test where i killed both the Heirs sons and Eideard got chosen, but i'm not sure if it was necessary to kill both of them. I will try another test, killing only Colban. Seeing as though Eideard did get picked over other candidates on the left of the tree, shouldn't that mean we can rule out the "Left most" bug ? ... And if it's not the Left-most bug, and not "Negative Authority", what else could it be ?
EDIT:
After further testing and giving the Orb to any other General, it's official that this mod is not doing anything. I followed all the instructions down to the letter. I started another new campaign. I installed it correctly, after doing it three times, i'm getting exceedingly good at it. My original Heir is still alive. No general's have Negative authority.
I can say with a fair amount of certainty that 80% success rate for this mod is a little too generous. Maybe 50% or less. There are simply way too many variables in a campaign and characters for this to work with any consistency.
I would like to end this with a thank you for the mod and ayou to CA who should have put this in the game via release or Patch, lazy
s.
I really like this, having the option to pick who will run your kingdom. I didnt use it yet because im nit to sure how to make it work. I hope its going to be in 7.0.
Sir Godfrey de Ibelin
I can't download for some reason it keeps sending me to a blank page...
Howdy,
It's not working for me, and yes I properly made sure it's filled in correctly.
Anyways to fix it?
Much greetings,
Mike
So where the hell is the link to the download?
Can't find it either, would be great if someone could repost it.
Hi, can someone explain why the submod attachments for Next Heir Ancillary is missing?
Does this work for SSHIP?
Under the patronage of Flinn, proud patron of Jadli, from the Heresy Vault of the Imperial House of Hader
Agreed, this should be in the sub-mod forum.
Bane_tw, fix?
