    Icon4 Script Help

    I'm trying to make an ancillary/trait that helps selecting the next heir in the family tree, but I have a problem. Testing takes too much time, cause whenever I need to kill a member of the family, I have to start a battle and throw them onto the enemy spears (every single time!). Is there a anyway to make "assassination" of your own family members easier ? I heard it's possible by scripts so how can I make one (though I'm not sure how hard it is to make one)? I tried doing it via console commands but it didn't work, then again I learned that it never works.

    As far as I know your "kill commands" would have to be added to the campaign script and every time you would want to change the sequence of kills you would have to edit said script.
    I think it will be faster to use your current method or auto_win defender/attacker until he is dead.

    I tried that but mostly they survive and retreat to a point they can't move back to attack the enemy army again, and forcing me to load from a save. Which again takes some time. Thought it was possible by some easier way but if it's not then I'll have to keep doing it the hard way

    You could also consider playing a hotseat campaign with neighbouring factions which would allow you to actually assassinate. Cheating a highlevel assassin for one faction could speed this up.

    Now that seems to better than loading a battle every time. Still need to wait a whole turn to end before I can see the results but I'll try that. Thanks

    Same would be true for the "kill character" campaign script so you still might be better off. Good luck

    I read somewhere that it was working once (probably earlier versions of the original game) but then removed, for what reason don't know

    Never worked when I tried - so there is one but it isn't working at least not out of the ingame console. Maybe with predefined characters and the campaign script but I haven't tried that.

    kill_character only works when you have the name or label for a character.
    check in Mod workshop for more details.
