    Default CTD during Turn 51

    Hi all,

    I have a CTD during AI turn 51, right when its Khawarezmain's turn..
    I am Genoa btw.
    The last AI move was Kha moving a iman acrossing the desert.. which then i guess will pass on to the rebels...

    I am on Vista Kingdoms Gold 1.5 and SS6.3 and installed with UAC off

    Any help?

    PS Where can I find my save game to upload if it helps?

    There is nothing in this quote of the above post that mentions reinstalling unless you are referring to a different post in a different thread (Of which I do not remember) but getting help in two different places that do not coincide (right word? Not sure ) with each other is not recommended. In other words, one problem, one ctd, one thread.

    Install the fixes. That is it.

    by the term reinstall.. does it mean reinstall M2TW or just SS?

    The only mention of "reinstall" in the bug report post is a quote of a system error message so I'm not sure what you are refering to.
    You don't have to reinstall M2TW or SS to install those fixes.

    Sorry to be a noob but I really have no idea how to fix it now...
    I was looking at the 1st page of the forum and can't really figure out which solution is for me...

    So I started another campaign with Aragon and CTD hit me again...

    Can someone please direct me to the right path??

    Download Fixes 1_2.7z to your desktop. Select "extract here".
    Move the SS6.3 folder on your desktop into your /mods folders.
    Yes to replace the existing SS6.3 folder and yes to all prompts.

    Well, I'm neither a Noob nor a Boob. I tried the first fix (from the SS 6.3 Bugs thread) -- extracting Data.RAR into my SS6.3 folder -- and that didn't work (tried it three times).

    Then I extracted Fixes 1.2.7z into my mod folder, replacing the original SS6.3 folder, and it WORKED! Now I wonder if that wasn't the equivalent of a total reinstall of SS6.3, except with the Area 51 Bug fixed, and do my original selections still stand? I've played on to about turn 53 or 54, quitting only just now because of one of those durned Battle CTDs.

    I hear that alot. UAC and Program Files installation are the main culprits imho.
    Then I extracted Fixes 1.2.7z into my mod folder, replacing the original SS6.3 folder, and it WORKED!     Thats true for all fixes. Some require a restart but none are gamebreaking for your current campaign.

    Ive been having the same problem, ive downloaded the fixes and extracted them to my /mod folder but it still keeps crashing. Im not a computer guy and I cant figure out what the issue is.

    Well, after installing fixes run the installer again and choose your campaign. Sometimes(i experienced it myself)the fixes only take effect when you run the installer again.

    I think you ment SS_setup.exe
