You can't invade the Old World as a New World faction until the Europeans arrive around 1492 or so (give or take a few years). You can then hire mercenary ships from the settlers and send your troops across the ocean on them. Send a general around a coastal tile to recruit one of them when they become available.

I applaud your efforts in bringing the warfare and intrigue of the renaissance to life,a period which I feel has been largely neglected by the modding community in favour of earlier periods. The era of Pike and shot and all its pageantry finally comes to fruition. Thanks for doing this

I have downloaded this mod but I experience the white-out UI when I enter battle. What seems to be the problem?

Try deleting the battle.sd file in the mod's ui folder then.

If it still doesn't work, it sounds like something didn't install right for you, either M2TW, Kingdoms, or one of the patches. Can't be the mod installation though, as all you do is extract the game to the mods folder.

Hey General, just downloaded AOD and it looks great! There really needs to be more mods like this, and I'm surprised this isn't featured in the "Hosted Mods." Is it going to be hosted eventually? I think the Med2 platform has a lot of potential for post-medieval time periods (and maybe it can even pull off Civil War era- i guess we'll see with Secession:TW) Anyway thanks for a great mod, your work is appreciated.

You don't need any fixes now. Just the latest patched version of MTW2: Kingdoms and the files (2 of them) from the strategy informer links.

For the window, go to the mod folder and open the cfg file called medieval2.ageofdiscovery.txt Look for "windowed = true" and change true to false. As for the file, sounds like your download got corrupted. Try downloading again is all I can think of. I'll have a look though myself too.

As for the part 2 file, you don't need to open that separately. Is that what you're trying to do? Just go to part one, right-click, go to 7-zip menu and select extract here making sure part 2 is in the same folder and the whole thing should extract.

EDIT: Make sure you have 7-zip (7-zip, not winzip) installed and are using that too. From that screenshot it looks like you don't.
