    Probably this causes the crash. Try instead change all the relative dates to proper ones, if you know how to mess with the script file, or just play till the date they are set to emerge originally.

    Also, try to put the original dates back, and see if it still crashes.

    Hi first i would like to say good work , especially with impementing the flemish , im proud to fight for once with my own country.

    After te first turns playing with flanders the paintings on the bottom left of the screen , start to mix up for some reason with a photo of a dock ,a photo of a general and a couple of other things that dont belong there .

    Last keep up the good work and try to give the game some extra units please

    stuff like generals and units in the UI are common in mods.

    the best way to get rid of bugs is to make sure all your coding was done right and by the book. use the vinilla files as a template and the ;comments should be removed if you want to fix some bugs. Of corse this could also mean recoding.

    Hey there! New to this mod so I downloaded the 0.9 version, and I've gotta say it looks very interesting. However, when I played a few custom battles, the battles were extremely laggy. My computer can usually run Medieval II on medium-high but even on the lowest settings the battles are still laggy. Is this a problem with the current version or my computer and the way I installed it?

    I find that, as this mod, for some reason unknown to me, keeps resetting settings, that battles become cumbersome because I have full grass, full bloom, full shadows, full everything. I have to remember to set all things so that my comp can work the game, every time I start the game.

    I know that this is very annoying, and at some point we will have a look at this and find out why this happens.

    Remove the settings from the mod's cfg file is my guess. They override the settings in the default cfg file in the root of med2. That is, if the game installs into a mod folder. I haven't downloaded the mod or played it, so forgive me for being presumptious.

    If your mod is in a mod folder it will have its own cfg file.
    The settings in this file will override the settings in the medieval2.settings.cfg file
    The settings in the medieval2.settings.cfg file change when you change your options. (Which does not have an effect in the next game if the mod cfg file overrides it)
    The only settings in a cfg file should be like this:

    blue - hotseat entries
    green = puts the log in a seperate folder and in trace mode - easier to find and more detailed
    red, line one = setting for vista users and multiple log on accounts
    red , line two = enables re-inforcements all the time (beware your computer specs!)
    black = essential

    [features]
    mod = mods/your_mod_name

    [log]
    to = logs/M2TW.system.log.txt
    level = * trace

    [io]
    file_first = true

    [misc]
    bypass_to_strategy_save = 1

    Here's what happens: I get my army together and confront the rebels, then choose to fight the battle. As soon as the battle finishes loading, my computer reboots - it doesn't even SHUT DOWN or anything. It just starts from the boot/loading screen (where it tells you the BIOS and such).
    That sounds extremely like the "unpack bug" - check if these two geography files are in the data folder of the mod or the main game:

    data\descr_geography_new.txt
    data\descr_geography_new.db

    If so, delete.

    I should have been more specific:
    The only settings in a cfg file should be like this:
    unless required by the mod to function properly

    For instance TATW switches off the settlement banners for their mod
