Druzhinas vs Dis boyar sons

First of all. I love russian faction on medieval II. Most likely they even have OP unit roster.. (stronger than mongol cav + some nice infantry and even musketeers?)

But I don't get it something. Dismounted Druzhinas seems to be totaly same as Dismounted Boyar Sons. Is there any slight diffrence between them despite the fact that boyar sons looks more cool?

Nope!
They're essentially the same except for some morale and stamina differences I think.

Actually they are identical in every aspect except their appearance. Check The fusil for their stats (use search for finding the fusil made by Brandybarrel).

Dismounted Druzhinas and Dismounted Boyar sons are identical to each other, as said before. They are both awesome heavy infantry, and in the end, it all comes down to which one you favorize (you´ll get the same performance anyway).
I prefer the dis. boyar sons, because after I read their description I felt sorry for them.

My favorite russian infantry unit, however, is the Berdiche Axemen (have no idea how to pronounce the name, though - Bördajk, Beard-aykk or beerdishee, I don´t know) They are powerful and pretty cool-looking.
Also, I have a personal affinity for them ever since I saw them in a field battle against a Timurid army.
Just thinking about it makes me full of glee ^::^

I like Boyar sons more becouse they look cooler.

That´s your opinion, and I respect that. As I said, MY liking for them is mostly personal.
Haha, with the Boyar sons, I meant that because their description says that they are second sons and such, without right to any heirlooms of their family. That´s why they seek battle and danger.
While understandable, I still felt sorry for them ^::^

PS. Boyar sons were not a knightly order, or even an organisation. As far as I know, they joined together in groups, and some of them joined Knightly orders, but they were more brigands and adventurers rather than members of their own organisation. "Boyar" is a title that refers to a certain social class, not an Orders´ name. Am I mistaken?

Well. Majority of knights had the same faith of Boyar sons. Knight was the least noble rank in that time. And second sons of rich land rulers were basicly forced to become ones. Since they couldn't inheret the land of their father most of the times. So they went to knightdom in order to seek riches, glory and so on.

What I sad, you can feel sorry for knights too. ;( poor teotonic knights...

That is true. Good explanation.

I will never feel sorry for the Teutons, however. They may have had pitiful lives, too, but their actions make up for that, more than enough. They did to the native peoples of the East sea region exactly what the colonialists did to the africans. So I just can´t feel sorry for them.
Technically, that goes for most other knighthoods, too, but the teutons were just a tad more heinous, more barbaric.

Yes I know. Tried to rob and kill while hiding under the god's name. Grand Dutchy of Lithuania struggled with that order for quite a time.
