Rome TW change draw distance
I was wondering how can I change the draw distance of the game? Meaning, how can I eliminate the 2D textures & models of the units & buildings in the battle map, that after some distance they change from the normal 3D models to the 2D.

Re: Rome TW change draw distance
You will have to edit the descr_items text file for the buildings. I can link you to a tutorial if you want but it is fairly complicated.

Thanks for the welcome
Can you give me the link for the tutorial?
What about the units?

I would imagine that doing this could take a lot of resouces in-game. That is it could 'shag' any PC - even decent ones.

here is the tutorial for getting to what you need to change. You will have to edit the view distance to 4,000 in the descr_items.txt
Just a general warning as Brusilov said this could definetly slow down your game, not to mention that it will be very complicated. But if you must, you can do so now. Also idk about the units.

Thanks for the link mate. I saw in the file that there is something like lod max_distance for type scale_soldier. Is that what I'm looking for?
