    Default St. Lazarus knights

When you start as CS you get one unit of St. Lazarus knights. Is it later in the game possible to retrain them or to buy new Lazarus knights? Is there a way to get both templar and hospitaller guilds? Because I only get one of them with each faction.

Yes you can make it possible for one faction to get both Templars and Hospitallers. Requires a lot of editing.
Oh, for Heaven's sake, now you're being deliberately stupid.

Wudang why did you close the thread? Because you can't find a source refuting mine? LoL how's the quest to ban me going?

No, it doesn't. Just remove the "exclude Templars" line from the Hospitaller guild and the "exclude Hospitallers" line from the Templar guild.

It is actually disadvantageous to have both, since the places where they can be trained and retrained will be even more limited.

You can recruit Lazarus knights later.

well, knights aren't really the problem with Crusader states, actually getting them, without massively sacrificing other needs, is the really problem
1180, an unprecedented period of peace and prosperity in East Asia, it's technology and wealth is the envy of the world. But soon conflict will engulf the entire region with great consequences and lasting effects for centuries to come, not just for this region, but the entire known world, when one man, one people, unites.....

Lepers feel no pain; could be advantageous in battle to feel no pain.

edit: imagine the fear an army of lepers would put onto the enemy; who probably didn't want to catch the disease.

PS. Leprosy does not cause body parts to fall off; this is a misconception.

Another isue might be not being able to actually grip a swordhilt, horse reins or move quickly enough in combat

They will be able to grip a sword hilt, if anything they will grip with excessive pressure (as commonly seen in individuals with loss of tactile sensation). A more serious problem would be dropping their sword/shield in middle of combat as poor tactile sensation can result in letting go when attention is directed away from an object.

Proprioception and Kinaesthesia would be affected in someway for sure, so they would probably be slower but other factors such as vision, hearing, smell, strength etc. also play a factor in kinaestheology, not to mention the actual skill of the Knight would also play a role in battle prowess. So the Leper Knight could still be effective; tough eventually the disease also affects the motor, autonomic nervous systems, and the nerves in the eyes & therefore the Leper will have a limited "fighting lifespan".

This could also happen to any regular Knight. The only difference here is that one can feel it and the other cannot. The one that can feel it would probably take time to attend to his wounds after the battle is over; the one that cannot feel it might not even know a wound is present and this can be bad if a wound that needs attention isn't attended too and then becomes worse.

Mycobacterium Leprae the bacterium causing Leprosy doesn't cause the skin to fall off. Leprae affects the sensory nervous system, when the sensory nerves are damaged an individual cannot feel pain. This leaves body parts vulnerable to burns and other injuries (such as skin tears or infections from other organisms) that may result in the loss of skin, fingers & extremities etc. In otherwords its the individuals inability to remove his hand from the hot plate(s) on a stove that causes a 3rd degree burn to the hand that causes the skin to fall off and not the bacterium that causes Leprosy.

Actually, I think a crusader faction should have both guilds. The templars and hospitallers fought together in the holy land, even if they were rivals

But actually, I think it should be almost impossible for this faction to recruit units, there should only be crusaders coming in, and they would have to use them
