RTW crashes ibefore or going into battle mode

My computer randomly crashes either during a battle or going from campaign to battle maps. I have no idea what is causing it, but some times it works great, than for no apparent reasons.
Im really hoping someone can help.

What are your specs as in Windows version, cpu, ram, graphics card/chip and its dedicated memory, and version of the game?

I might be able to help you however I need to know the name of the error. So on your desktop shortcut right click it, select properties, and in the target field and -show_err
this should give a specific error for your ctd. Hopefully this will allow either myself or someone more qualified to help you.

I then started a new campaign, and now every second battle, the game crashes halfway through the loading screen. I restart ftw and the battle loads fine. Then, next battle, ctd halfway through loading...

My comp has 2x3GHz pro, 2Gb RAM, 512MB 8800 gfx... So should be fine!

Any help anyone might have would be greatly received. I'll do show_err in a min.

Have you added the -show_err switch to the shortcut target?
