Default I am sorry about this, but how do you uninstall TGW?

I love this mod, and I have no gripes about downloading it, except I cannot seem to remove it to allow me to play vanilla NTW. I would love to return to my days of arty camping and Santisima abusing (jk), yet I cannot due to the lack of multiplayer servers for TGW mod. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the game, yet when I restart the game after five hours of installing, I ended up hearing the truly epic menu music of TGW mod again.
I am sincerely sorry for not noticing some hidden "uninstall TGW mod" button, or missing something in any of the given info.
I just wish to uninstall TGW mod and play with my friends more

Its no problem dude, I even play other mods and am a big fan of vanilla MP myself.

If you still have the .exe you used to install the mod. Run that again and use the uninstall function.

    Other than that..

Remove the two files from your data folder, entitled "GreatWar.pack" and "GreatWarText.pack".

Then you need to clear or delete your user.script.

Thats in your appdata folder, which is a hidden folder. Its found in .. The Creative assembly/Napoleon/Scripts

    Something like that.

If you need more help, just ask.

I seem to still have a problem. I deleted both packs, although I cannot find the hidden script folder.
    I can play the game, although there are two problems now;
    1. No sound whatsoever.
    2. The game still is different from everyone else and I cannot play online.

I found that instead of the path to the NTW folder being directly from the CA folder, it is acctually

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\napoleon total war

Sooo close to vanilla...yet so far....

Ok so you'v removed the 2 packs, and the only reason you don't have sound is because you haven't cleared/deleted the userscript.

First of all make sure you enable yourself to view hidden files and folders.

When you have done that.. then the path will be something like this.

    C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Napoleon\scripts

The userscript has been deleted, my multiplayer works now, and I can hear my russian unicorns being zerg rushed by a random French uber cav unit.

Ah, the good old days of vanilla MP.

You know, I used to be a frequent vanilla player during the 'unicorn era' (when someone could spam unicorns, sit back, and watch the unit choice win the battle). Too bad they aren't as powerful anymore, it was always fun to see the opponent pick Russia and camp - although foolishly unresponsively - for the rest of the game, only to be flanked and then destroyed.

    The attack, always the attack.

Anyway, good that it worked out. I think that some sort of help on this 'error' could be issued in the bugs thread (the missing sound).

Or just make a sticky thread called "How to uninstall TGW."

There is no user file in my scripts. Is that automatically deleted with the uninstall feature?
