Anyone else annoyed by Adam Sandler lately?

Not that I ever found him even mildly funny or amusing, Adam Sandler is getting really pathetic lately.

About half of his movies lately are about his ongoing midlife crisis-----GEE, ya think man? When you live a meaningless life coasting off of terrible humor aided by industry contacts you're gonna fall hard. He shouldn't be publicizing his personal problems.

I guess the pudgy prick thought too much of his work and believes he has a following. He's only entertaining when the audience is stoned silly or mentally handicapped, he should've appreciated that base instead of reflecting his niche audience on himself as an icon of sorts.

Retire already, I spent my entire conscious life thus far with this freak on the front pages of pop culture.

Sandler has annoyed me as long as I can remember.

Adam Sandler hasn't been funny in over a decade.

His movies consistently surpass the 100 million domestic box office mark, so yes his name still carries a lot of weight (in the US at least).

His personality and humor are another matter, personally I never been a fan.

He was never funny to me, I don't know why is Hollywood pushing him so much.

Louis already gave the answer. How adorable that you think Hollywood cares what's funny or "good". They only follow the money. If a movie about kicking puppies made a huge profit, you could expect Hollywood producing 10 new puppy-kicking movies in the next year.

What Sandler has been doing most in his last movies is called "earning a paycheck" but so long as people keep watching it, he'll keep doing it. He's got nothing to prove, he's got a household name and people will watch him.

I've always been annoyed by Adam Sandler. His movies suck, his acting is bad, and his humour is often offensive and discriminatory, or else dependant on scatological or physical jokes.

He had 4 good movies in a row, Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, The Wedding Singer, and The Waterboy. After that his movies have ranged from crap to mediocre.

P.S. I don't care if you think those four were any good, that was a statement of fact.

This. And his company has had a few good ones, namely Grandma's Boy. But for the most part, his later stuff leaves much to be desired.

I liked Anger Management, but almost entirely because of Jack Nicholson. And Woody Harrelson as the cross-dressing coach.

Funny people sucked pretty much. Anyway I liked most of his movies.

You know your time has truly passed when your only remaining fans are a bunch of fifteen year-olds trying to keep up with a fad.

Adam Sandler was hilarious on SNL and for that stretch of movies mango said. he has come to be associated with those roles his whole life and his recent movies, most of which are about family and fatherhood, are his way to try to break free of those associations. He connects his current unhappiness with his previous roles as losers turned responsible adult. He knows his time has past and he wants to show everyone that he doesn't have t o be outrageous to be funny or even liked. I haven't seen a movie of his since that trash "Click", but I don't hate him for making lackluster movies, he's just not good when he's not the outrageous character we all came to love anymore.

I enjoyed the movies he starred in in the mid 90's. But then again, I was that kind of age that I didn't look too much into it and just went along with the jokes.

Agrees with those particularly movies.

I'm pretty indifferent, I can generally get a decent chuckle out of most his movies.

Adam Sandler is like the guy of superbad. (the skinny guy)
Different from other comedians and usually play the role of some dorky guy and nothing good ever happens to him and everyone laughs when he gets pushed around.
But Jim Carrey. He's a real comedian imo
