How to change your nations flag

So I am playing as the UP and just switched from a republic to a constitutional monarchy, so far so good. But the thing is, I don't like the way my new 6-striped flag looks, I want the old red-white-and-blue back.

Is there an easy way to change this in my current campaign, without changing back to republic again? It's no problem if I have to overwrite the 'royalist flag' completely, I don't care if it's no longer available for the Dutch.

On a side note: I think the republic flag should have been orange-white-blue, the constitutional flag red-white-blue, and for the absolute monarchy flag I don't have a clue, probably something with those lions with their genitals clearly exposed

Apart from mods, no. There are two flags in the game for every nation, one for republic, and one for monarchy. The republic flags are often the today flags:

i agree with you, the dutch flag with the six stripes on it is ugly. especially if you know the netherlands are a monarchy today Maybe there ae some mods that solve your problem

It's a very good mod which aims to make most of the monarchy/republic/battle/naval flags as realistic and historical as possible.

What I do is edit the savegame with the ESF Editor and find the Netherlands faction and change its flag there by altering the monarchy flag by setting the paths to the republic flag folder. Read this topic for more information.
