Spanish Factions
The three Spanish factions in DOTS (Castille, Portugal, Aragon) should not be locked into a certain title. Rather, they should IMO behave like the Italian Communi factions; they should have assorted transition options.
Medieval Spain was a collection of different royal titles (Galicia, Leon, Castille, Navarra, Aragon and later Portugal). A faction that holds two or more of the these titles should have the possibility of breaking up on monarch death.
Also, Portugal should have the possibility of becoming Galicia (it was a Galician fief) and if Castille conquers it, then Portugal should respawn as Galicia if Castille breaks up.

Re: Spanish Factions
Hmm its an interesting idea, I think we just had the Kingdom of Spain transition lined up or at least discussed, not sure if we are going to implement it though. My only concern with these different faction slots is that it is going to be very complicated. For instance, a faction can only have one set of names- if the faction is going to represent both Galicia and Portugal the names (and all other things) have to be representative of both factions. With Milan and Genoa, or Pisa and Florence there is no culture clash so there is no problem there but for Spain it could be.
